Location: Remote, UK.

As a Delivery Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of software or technology solutions to clients or end-users. You will collaborate closely with internal engineering teams and external customers to implement, configure, and optimise solutions that meet business requirements.

You will receive support and encouragement to continuously learn, upskill, and contribute ideas and innovations to enhance our business offerings. Customer and project site visits will occur infrequently.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide training to clients or internal users on the delivered systems and ensure a smooth handover of deployed solutions.
  • Supporting the business development team to secure new contracts by being a reliable technical point of contact.
  • Provide ongoing support for delivered solutions, troubleshoot issues, and resolve any technical problems that may arise post-deployment.
  • Be part of on-call rota to address urgent costumer support requests.
  • Gather and analyses customer asset data (flanges, valves, emission etc.) to understand work flow requirements and upload to software.
  • Working as a facilitator to provide the best possible customer onboarding experience in conjunction with the line manager.
  • Work closely with software development, operations, and product teams to ensure. alignment on project goals and technical requirements.
  • Assist in developing technical content for marketing purposes.
  • Ensure that software solutions are tested thoroughly before deployment, ensuring they meet performance, functionality, and security standards.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation of deployment processes, configurations, and technical specifications for delivered solutions.
  • Willing to represent the company in customer meetings, industry events, and publications as appropriate.
  • Leads by example and works in a manner that protects the health, safety, and welfare of self and others.
  • Participates and contributes towards business improvement initiatives.
  • Foster close customer relations, developing an understanding of customer use cases and business needs.
  • Be a champion and advocate of asset55’s products and services.
  • Adheres to all Company policies and procedures including quality, safety, environmental, and HR.

Requirements

Service delivery experience

  • Demonstrable knowledge of ASME PCC-1 and/or EN1591.
  • Understands and can demonstrate flange and valve management.
  • Able to read and interpret customer drawings, specifications, and procedures.
  • Desire to obtain, develop, and share engineering knowledge across the team.
  • High standard of communication (written and verbal).
  • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure with changing priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving ethic, able to challenge the status quo.
  • Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft suite of applications for managing/evaluating data and documents.
  • Able to gain knowledge and utilise new software required for delivering work.
  • Keen sense of good order, organisation, accountability, and transparency.
  • Positive attitude with good interpersonal skills.
  • Team and results orientated, focus on customer value.
  • Company travel as per business requirements.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in bolted joint assembly and delivery within the oil and gas industry (with a focus on ASME PCC-1 compliance) or piping systems design
  • Experience in the use of technology, data and software to deliver assigned tasks
  • Strong understanding of piping systems and their components
  • Use of standards, codes and specifications for preparing and evaluating bolted joints/piping systems scope
  • Knowledge of advanced bolting and machining techniques such as hydraulic tensioning, torquing, and specialised equipment for the oil and gas industry.
  • Knowledge of testing techniques for the oil and gas industry.

Salary and Benefits

  • £40,000 – £50,000 (depending upon experience).
